Hand built from a single slab of speckled red orange clay, this sculptural tray stretches over 36 inches long. Arched coils rise along the edges in an organic rhythm, forming a gentle enclosure that echoes the underwater architecture of coral and reef.

No mold or model guided its making. Each curve was added intuitively by hand, layer by layer, with time and care etched into every rise and resting place. It is the only one of its kind, a beginning, a first, and a piece that speaks to the slowness of creation.

Though sculpted in function, it resists a single purpose. A vessel for whatever is gathered, salt or light, cloth or stone, fragrance or flame. It invites arrangement, reinvention, and the quiet pleasure of gathering things just so.
