the A behind ARTISANNA

I was born under the Californian sun, with the world at my feet
and a quiet pull toward making things by hand.
My work is rooted in curiosity—shaped by travel, texture, and the slow rhythm of craft. I’ve always followed the impulse to create, whether I’m forming vessels, weaving texture, or pouring natural fragrances. These elements connect me to nature, and to the lasting beauty of handmade.
I value sustainability not as a trend, but as a way of working—respectful, intentional, and attuned to time. Every piece I make carries a bit of that ethos: to be lived with, not just looked at. To be used, loved, and kept close.
Most of my work is made in Ballard—either at Ballard Clay, where I also teach classes, or in my cozy home studio. I'm now excited to welcome you into my first storefront, opening in downtown Ballard within a collective of merchants called Smål Market—a space to experience the work in person and connect with both the artist and the process behind it.
Artisanna is the name I give to this offering. Sculptural but useful, elevated yet grounded—designed to be well-loved, and part of a consciously curated life.
